The Habs are still pretty early in the process. For the Red Wings, this is becoming more of an issue.

The best case scenario for the Habs went out the window in the pre-season when Laine was injured.

But realistically, improvement meant Dach hitting the ground running — hasn’t happened, coming back from injury can take a while. Without that, the roster is weaker than last year without Monahan.
