Me and my friends used to play dnd back in middle school and highschool. Since I went homeschool I haven't been able to play what so ever, it makes me sad that I can't. What makes it worse is when I ask the friends that I want to play with if they want to play, they don't answer at all.

Oh my games are all inherently funny because I can't stop my own intrusive thoughts about the comedy of the situation.

There's non-D&D tabletop Role-playing systems that emphasize comedy and are done in shorter sessions of play too.

The best DND games don’t need to keep humor in check. Some of our sessions had a dragon made of bubblegum or goblins riding pigs for a rodeo

A sense of humor is often a great asset at the TTRPG table! And if D&D feels a bit too heavy for you, there are lots of great systems with lighter rulesets. A favorite of the convention circuit is Fiasco, which I describe as "a TTRPG about being in a Coen Brothers movie".
