They should go on strike for better terms & conditions. I’m sure all the right-wing gobshites clutching their pearls about VAT will be right behind them…

And a quick google would've pointed out to you that this too is complete and utter bollocks.

"Aw, nuts, better move to plan B"
One of the many, many facts people who don't understand this area of policy haven't researched, including politicians on both sides.
Teachers are treated like shite, everywhere (except Eton and Harrow, I suppose). That's what needs to change.
Best of luck to him!
The VAT rise came into effect a couple of months ago (what happened to to the exodus to state schools BTW?).
Are we now to believe that salaries were so affected so quickly that these teachers are taking 2nd jobs?
If they are they, were already doing them for some time.
“Why do you send your children to private school when there are two of the best grammar schools in the country within a mile of your front door?”
“Those schools are selective grammars and my kids wouldn’t pass the entrance exam”.
The number of false alarms around this policy is just silly.
The truth is, much like most stories captioned with “Labour tax raid”, that there’s a load of fart, without much sign of poo.
A tax application that has only just been implemented, we're expected to believe that the impact of a new tax has already caused the employees of the taxed schools wages, to have insta-plumetted below inflation, needing additional income. Do naff off ST.
And some Chances.
These RW headlines are bout to get very long!
Oh, wait, you mean you don't want to deal with 30+ children in a class?
How awful for them all
I speak as a state school primary headteacher
Talk about overreacting
of state schools
Underpaid overworked
&supplementing
teaching&social resources for children
from their own pocket
Unless overtime has been cancelled and was a massive part of their income.
