The only hangup I see here is that when I have had cheese (and especially Parmesan) my judgment gets cloudy and I think things are generally going better than they really are, because I have had cheese.

I suppose you could *look* at the cheese without eating it, but that's just cruel.

Why not? The real oracle is inside you, right? The outward form is somewhat arbitrary. A specially gifted diviner friend when visiting me illustrated this by giving an amazing, spot on reading after casting a handful of M&M’s from a bowl on our coffee table. Besides, I love cheese!
