If the federal government were to fire every single worker, it would only reduce government spending by less than 5%.

It'a smoke and mirrors to distract the public from the other unethical moves they are making: giving Starlink a $2.4 billion contract originally awarded to Verizon in 2023, Trump's shenanigans with cryptocurrency, crazy tax cuts, etc. Something has to break soon.

Billionaires typically don’t have incomes. They have investment proceeds in the form of capital gains. Those are taxed differently. I would like that to come down as well.

It is cruelty. For some reason Conservatives hate govt workers. They think they are lazy. My daughter works for the govt as a scientist. She has a Ph.D in biomedical science. It is the hardest job she has ever had.
