He has a fealty treaty with Putin. "Those trying to understand the tariffs as economic policy are dangerously naive. No, the tariffs are a tool to collapse our democracy. A means to compel loyalty from every business that will need to petition Trump for relief." - Chris Murphy (see summary below)
Afaik the sanctions against Russia are still in place, so it's basically impossible for most American businesses to import anything from Russia, and the sanction even got increased in febuary.
So a tarriff would be entirely symbolic wouldn't it?
Does anyone truly believe that these billionaires are not making a fortune while the stock markets declines? This is such a game. They are raking it in. Pound by pound. They are controlling the narrative and by it controlling the markets. Wake up and smell your 10$ cup of coffee.!
That’s right. Us Americans, not the Russians, are about to catch a bad case of the tariff blues. That’s why I’ve created “The Tariff Blues Playlist” on Spotify. I hope you’ll Listen, Follow, and watch it grow until these tariffs are history.
Because Russia is sanctioned already since started the war against Ukraine. This illusion of Putin being boss of Trump was created by the media because USA is used to blame others for their own crap. Any of you know how sanction works?
If Trump puts tariffs on Russian fertilizer, you will be the ones to pay higher price for food, not the rest of the world. The tariffs will mainly hurt the US American wallet, so if you wish for more tariffs without understanding the whole context you are shooting your own foot.
But besides the few goods not blocked, Russia is sanctioned, Europe holds billions of dollars that belong to Russia and I hope that once the war is over, Ukraine will have access to those billions of dollars to rebuild their country. Unfortunately we don’t know when or if it’s gonna end.
Not all goods because the world depends on Russian fertilizer and some European countries depend on Russia for gas, that’s why, so the few goods not blocked are the goods that are necessary for survival. If Trump puts tariff on Russian fertilizer, farmers gonna riot and he wants to avoid that
So no tariffs on Russia? Could then Russia import these goods and then export them to us? Seems like the perfect plan to me. All the rest of this is bullshit, it's just a way for Russia to get money and supplies it needs to get back on their feet to continue you on in Ukraine and beyond.
Genuine question, are they even a trading partner of the US for that to even apply? NK are Iran also seem to "lack tariffs" but IIRC they aren't trading partners
Russia is already restricted to trade, luckily for Russians citizens they have CHINA to mediate some trading goods. You can hate Putin, but don’t generalize all Russians as villains as excuse to blame other nations for your own bullsht.
You could argue he is Musk's puppet. But tbh Trump is really just doing most of the sings he said he'd do during his campaign. He is just a lot more effective than in his first term bc he put his people everywhere and there is just so much less pushback.
Trump kowtowing to Putin as usual!
$3.5billion trade should have attracted at least a token tariff!
Oh and he also removed sanctions from the wife of one of Putin’s closest oligarchs.

Kremlin talking points we tariffed countries with less trade. Pay attention to what lies are being repeated and who is repeating them.

Sanctions are already a step beyond tarriffs, aren't they?
And can you guys stop with the "russian talking points" bs and just act normal?
I have increased pressure on you to sign
a Ukraine war peace deal by lifting sanctions
on Karina Rotenberg
and not tariffing Russia.
If you keep pressuring me, I will be forced
to give you Alaska early.
Don't push me unless you want the entire West Coast as well.

'sanctioned' ( on some, but not all, goods )
and
'tarifs'
Biden didn't cut sanctions on Russia, infact in the last week of of his term he introduced more.
The only sanction Biden cut was on the Nord Stream gas pipeline from Russia to Germany early in his term.
I was merely correcting the other moron by providing factual proof to debunk his false comments.
What I said to him has nothing to do with what you're waffling on about and I still have no idea what your point is.
By the way I can'tstand Putin and the 85% of Russian's that support him
Trump and Putin get along very well and have helped each other in probably ilmegal ways but that doesn't make Trump his puppet.
And oddly enough, Russia was not on today's lengthy tRump tariff list🤔
Despite this
