I really thought that the evident electoral advantages of resisting the Trump administration would persuade more nationally ambitious democrats to do so. I was mistaken.

I really think that Trump's re-election has broken so many people's brains and you see now who is acting out of principle and who is acting based on panic. (Pritzker is looking like a clear frontrunner at this stage.)
We always say we need somebody younger to be running, but honestly, I can't think of anybody who's really even tried to step up to the plate since Obama.
It's really wild. I'm out here sending fan mail to Dems who do even the slightest fraction of a bare minimum of resistance and calling to yell at the ones who don't weekly at minimum and I *know* I'm not the only one.
But the party keeps on the same track of cooperation
All the ambitious democrats are too far from the positions where a challenge can be mounted, and all the democrats in such positions are Chuck Schumer’d

Three House Republicans who want to hold leadership roles in a reorganized House under Democratic leadership.
After that, Democratic ambition becomes more relevant.
