Something small but low-key life-affirming happened to me today. I got caught in a sudden downpour and the paper bag that contained my groceries no longer had the molecular structure of a paper bag.

Anyway, not one, not two but three different people: pedestrian, shopkeeper and a bloke who leaned out of a still moving van, handed me bags they happened to have on them and before scattering to find shelter.
