This whole thread is great, but especially this point—I feel like this is often missing from “no there actually is a Plan” reads on the situation. Which is that these people aren’t just stupid, *they are simply not operating in the same informational reality as we are*

Trump's whole career is built on media manipulation, he rose to power on it, and he has always used it as a bully pulpit to achieve his goals. The real, massive effectiveness of this media power has seduced them entirely (hence purposefully living in a hallucinatory false information sphere)
