I lived in the US (green card) for 29 years. Left in 2022. My American wife - who was VERY keen to leave - said before than that GC wasn't safe. I thought, nah, won't happen, but doomer as I am, I'm not doomer enough. So glad to be out, and don't ever want to go back, not even hols now.
