Bad movies for tons of people, though the general consensus seems to have softened over the years. It’s all good, though. We all love what we love and hate what we hate. I absolutely adore the Flash Gordon movie and think Saving Private Ryan is tripe. 🤷♂️
The prequels were explicitly about the Karl Rove and George W machine.
Adjusted for Trumpflation, Anakin would die in episode 1 because he's just a slave working to enrich an alien, waiting for a Jedi handout instead of doing the bootstrap thing.
Phantom Menace came out while Clinton was still president, and Attack of the Clones was released six months after 9/11. If anything it was predictive of the Iraq stuff but not inspired by it.
And the Republic actually fell 5 years after Clinton, with Lucas in interviews specifically citing Dick Cheney as an allegory for Palpatine. His words, not mine 🤷
Um there was a whole Iraq war in 1990-91 which one could argue was really none of our business or the result of our business and movies take years to make.
Acting like the 2003 war was the start is like saying Empire is the first movie in the series.

Yeah, it seems Richard Brody and others were right on the Star Wars prequels.
