Tim keeps talking about universal healthcare, childcare, housing and i’m all in for it. If he runs, I’m going to volunteer to mobilize everyone I possibly can for his campaign.
It’s so wild that he was stepping out like “Check out these freaks! They should *mimes blowing brains out with gun*—right?”, getting Katt Williams audience reactions and the DNC looked at that and went “Nope, don’t want that, no thank you.”
The first time I saw her campaign with Cheney I was ready to jump
Then she based her whole campaign around Cheney supporting her and I literally had to avoid tall buildings
It's crazy, either Dems should have stuck with Biden, or Dems should have made Harris the nominee 6-12 months earlier. But the way t'was done was the worst option of all.
However, things always turn out the way they have to.
And George and Amal are already on Trump because he will be 82 in 2028
Biggest mistake she made. She would have been president now if she had chosen more wisely. Sorry Walz, but truth is truth. She lost many of us who were supporting her when she made such an incredibly poor choice.
Buttigieg, Kelly, and Shapiro all come right to mind. There are, admittedly, some liabilities with each. But all three would have been fighters that could have held their own against Vance and Trump. The VP needs to be an effective attack dog.
and then they were running a successful and energizing campaign that was actually rattling the republicans? until they remembered themselves and put all that childish nonsense behind them
I remember thinking, "Well, they're going to fucking lose."
The times required a VERY progressive socialist candidate, not more Centrists, the very problem that made Trump possible. No AOC, no Cori, no Jasmine, just a white man.
And, here we are. When centrists realize this, then we win.
I'm progressive AF, way left of Bernie and I'd never heard of him. Plus he's old and white. Optics matter. For instance, he should have been WAY left of Kamala, who is barely progressive. Where's the living wage talk? Universal Healthcare? Abolishing ACA? Demilitarizing Police? Free Palestine?
And yet that late in the game, people across the nation had NO IDEA who he was. No minimum wage increases in the platform. Just Green New Deal (AOC's). No Medicare for All, just ACA which is too expensive to use. Campaign autopsies are not my thing, but that's why I held my nose to vote for her.
Bye. This ain't new for me. I've had a problem with the Democratic Party becoming the Republican Party since Clinton 1.0. They don't have a stellar approval rate as I'm sure you're aware. That means I am not alone.
If the corporate cash weren't so good, Democrats might do something about it.
Totally get the sentiment in the comments. However, I always like to remind people criticizing the Harris/Walz campaign that they still received the 3rd most amount of popular votes in any presidential campaign ever. The blame should solely be on Trump voters.
Question: The evidence that D Bag cheated to win the election is all over the place yet he is in the oval office instead of the one who really deserves to and is truly qualified to do the job.
Some may call it insurrection. Me? I would call it a correction of global importance.
I thought they made a fine team. They ran a very good campaign and I believe that they would have made a fine President and Vice President. They didn’t fail us the American electorate failed them.
I watch her supporters on here just laying into everyone they perceive as being to their left when she changed course from Walz and noticeably shifted tone to stop making the CEOs feel bad. Reporting says she met with her brother in law, the GC of Uber, and moved rightward. She chose a bad strategy.
And now they’re attacking just everyone the perceive as being to their left as if it is our fault that she changed course. She changed course, went after right-wing votes, and lost as a result. When we warned her over and over that she would lose. They blame us for it but it was her bad strategy!
Abandoning "weird" and switching to "country over party" with Cheney was bad.
The final nail was that interview where Harris said she wouldn't do anything--not one thing--different than Joe Biden. I had multiple coworkers tell me they couldn't vote for someone who had no goals.
So much this. The Dems lost in 2024 when Walz treated Vance like a reasonable human being during the VP debate rather than calling him out on his bullshit (like we all expected/hoped for)
The minute where I thought, well, she's not sundowning! Surely she's going to see Democrats will lose votes by making their platform pro-genocide and Republican Lite.
I honestly thought we had it in the bag… huge rallies for Harris Walz and dwindling numbers at Trump rallies… that hateful rally at Madison square garden… I was certain Trumpism was collapsing. I was wrong… Now rural America must own up to their mistake and help stop Trump’s attack.
Not true. I do blame them for not campaigning better. People were unhappy with Joe and Kamala basically promised more of the same.
15million Dems did not vote in this election that voted in the previous one. I'm just saying shame on them

When you all said that during the campaign I thought that's not possible in the U.S.
Now I see that you were right.
That George and Amal thing was a joke, because of what they did to Joe. You really think Trump or Repubs would care what they say?

I don't have time nor energy for this nonsense. Unfollowed.

(DNC taps Walz on the shoulder)
“Please don’t say that, Mr Walz, we have an election here we’re trying to lose”
you KNOW I'm telling the truth because of how the protests were just ONE DAY and now they're all back to "here's what we need to do now"
