What should get cheaper is running costs (especially if you can pair with solar / batteries, or use smart tariffs)
Perhaps a regulatory initiative to increase repairability would be wise.
Running costs seem fine to me, and pale in comparison to a replacement that would decimate any cost of ownership calculations.
A few people I know had failed compressors.
Also, we are very pleased because that is no stock photo of a heat pump on the cover - it’s a real life heat pump visit featuring one of our Nesta team
The efficiency does drop a bit as it gets colder, but worth remembering that the efficiency figures we quote are averages over the year - so take account of lower efficiency in winter
