The mountains are medicine…

It may not be cool or hip in some circles, but we legitimately do need a massive amount of people to run for office. Flood the school boards, councils, county seats, state legislatures, Congress, etc. Big changes at the top happen when the ground shifts at the bottom. And that can start now.

It is time for The People's ReConstitution: Our demands for what comes next in America, designed to "strike at the root" of structural problems that got us here. Some ideas: 1. Overturn Citizens United, get $$ out of politics 2. Public interest media accuracy protections against disinformation...

Current status: we're smuggling eggs in from Mexico now. So let's talk about WHY Mexico's egg industry has been stable- while US egg prices are through the roof! 1. Mexico puts people in jail for price-fixing. 2. Mexico lets farmers vaccinate their chickens against bird flu.

Chocolate is also being affected by climate disruption in West Africa

We long for the day we can return to posting exclusively about the many valuable environmental and people benefits of climate and biodiversity crisis solutions. For now, doing whatever we can to fight fascism, which is itself a dangerous threat escalating our climate and extinction crises.

So they removed the black chairman of the Joint Chiefs in the middle of his 4-year tour, without cause, and they're seeking to replace him with a white **retired** Air Force three-star general who lacks the requisite experience as a service chief or combatant commander? Huh, how about that

This is very, very bad. Am working on a write-up, but let’s just say that firing military leaders for blatantly political reasons is wildly inappropriate; firing all the too lawyers is ominous; firing them all at the same time is a terrifying five-alarm fire

it's really saying something that this is how an apparent friend explains Elon's goals www.vanityfair.com/news/story/e...

Uhhhh…

Just got off a call with a long-running collaboration supporting transboundary climate resilience in Washington & British Columbia, and I've never felt more viscerally how transboundary work is as much about building trust and goodwill among nations as its more tangible outcomes.

“But there’s something else going on…a certain battle being joined. Beginning this week, local TV stations around the country have begun running…stories about veterans, members of military families or Trump supporters getting fired as part of Elon’s purge.” talkingpointsmemo.com/edblog/infle...

It seems almost unavoidable at this point that we are headed for a deep, deep recession. Just based on 200K+ federal firings & pullback of contracts, the March employment report (to be released April 4) seems certain to show bigger job losses than any month ever outside of a few in 2008-9 and 2020.

Try explaining to someone who hasn't been keeping up with politics that the apparatus of US government has been taken over by a small band of nazis.

I’m not sure the world has seen a genuine supervillain until 2025. Of course there’ve been countless monsters: hitler, Stalin, pol pot. But a real life figure who fits the Gotham/Metropolis model. Plutocrat bigwig who is actually deeply evil & wants to run the world for cartoonishly stupid reasons.

Driving EVs will save up to $1,500/yr in gas/maintenance. EV battery replacements projected to cost <$5,000 by 2030, =< gas engine rebuild. Avg EV lifespan is 18.4 year & 124k miles, w/gas vehicles at 116k. They just make more sense whatever yr politics. www.thecooldown.com/green-busine...

In future generations, when your children and grandchildren look back on this moment, they are not going to ask about the price of eggs. They are going to ask you what you did. Not what you felt. Not what you paid. But what you did. And I want to be able to say I did everything I possibly could.

Only problem here is the past tense: “People burned plants to produce more pliable & straight shoots for weaving; to stimulate plant growth; to foster biodiversity; to facilitate hunting by reducing undergrowth; to smoke out pests or destroy disease; & to minimise destruction wreaked by wildfires.”

"As we witness Elon Musk's effort to dismantle our government, it's crucial to grasp the underlying strategy. While it's tempting to see Musk's actions as "chaos" or "incompetence,"...I believe Musk's attack on the U.S. government is strategic and systematic." www.theframelab.org/elon-musk-do...

"Republican senators find themselves in an unusual position these days: begging Trump officials to release funds they themselves appropriated." Honestly, is there a more pathetic, contemptible collection of cowards & simps in the entire world?
