In reality, it is our job to guard our border - so putting troops there is actually benefiting us... less illegal guns, fewer US criminals coming up, fewer drugs. The CDN public won't forget this for a while - so the US market will still suffer even with this deal.

On Saturday I was proud of JT standing up for Canada in the face of a bully. This government has lost its way a few times but I cannot fault their commitment.
