Just voted. As always; quick, easy, pleasant. Teared up a little on the way out of the polling station. I am achingly fortunate to be a citizen of this country. If you're Canadian, please vote. Please thank your poll workers. That is all

Great example. As is acid rain. We used to be capable of this. Don't believe those who tell you nothing can be done.

I am begging progressives (of which I consider myself one) to learn to prioritize problems. Right now problem #1, #2 and #3 are surviving the Trump presidency with our sovereignty intact. If that means an issue you care about gets deprioritized that's unfortunately the situation we're in now.

Fuck. This is like trying to watch TV with a meth crazed racoon that has the remote. It's loud, and he keeps flipping between channels, and something smells bad, but you really dont want to know what it is .

This remains a great example. Not all problems can be solved by the market. Don't get me wrong, competitive markets can be amazing. But market failure is a thing. And, we can chose to implement non market solutions to certain problems that are breathtakingly effective and okay for themselves.

All these "masculinity" fetishists appear to have forgotten one of the main tenets of being a man (adult, but work with me); be accountable -own your failures. The whole movement is a permission structure to blame mediocrity on others. These guys are so mid.

That's 9 tweets an hour (plus replies). This dude is allegedly running the world's 7th biggest company (by market cap) as well as like 6 other companies and completely overhauling the federal entire government. And high as a fucking kite the whole time.

This. So much this. Social media has created this monster where people can monetize faux expertise. Stupid, bored, or ashamed people are easy marks.

The Washington Post refused to run this ad. Sure would be a shame if it went viral.

It’s remarkable how quickly the Trump team has sabotaged all the things that actually made the U.S. influential on the global stage. Free trade economics, strong diplomatic networks and alliances, the soft power of democratic culture and values, the hard power of a competent military …
