There appears to be a misunderstanding of "efficiency". These guys want to cut cost (which they aren't doing very well). But an efficiency equation also has a numerator.

Manosphere bro culture convincing young men that their problem is new and someone else's fault is a problem. Actual left wing hostility to men is a fringe thing thing that "real men" would dismiss. There is a problem, and his name is Internet.

I believe you have had people be mean to you and told you it was because you are a man. But, 1) Those people are being dicks. 2) it has always been hard to be a young man -always pressures and criticism. Being a man used to mean suck it up and deal with it. Wanna be trad? Be accountable.

Thanks for the correction. Somehow I had it in my head there was a machine count that was hand verified. This is even better.

I've said before, we do great elections in Canada. Elections Canada (and Ontario for me) always seem to have enough locations and staff. Your identity is verified and you are crossed off the roll after you vote, but it is not a burden. Paper ballot. Machine count. We should export this service.

I don't understand why stuff like this isn't straight, get a warrant, break down the door, arrest for fraud , imprison awaiting a hearing illegal?

Appreciate it. We don't hate you. We know you've got your own issues with all of this. Selfishly, we'd rather not be part of the drama.

You know, I was trying to decide how I felt about the "asking" not to boo the anthem-was trying to keep an open mind. Now I'm pissed off.

Yes. We have our fuckwits. But, do you really wanna make fuckwits per Capita (FPC) a contest?

Seriously. What is the argument? Come on Mr art of the deal? What is the pitch? Why would it be better for Americans? For Canadians? The answer is still no but stop pretending there is something other than "we wanna annex you because....reasons" here.

I wondered why the market didn't react like this post election. My conclusion is investors were betting on garden variety corruption, a few tariffs to cause some inflation, and tax cuts for the wealthy to prop up asset prices. They didn't count on wholesale, deliberate, economic destruction. FAFO.

Bloody hell. This feels like pretext for invasion. I had hoped this was all just to try and legally prop up the "emergency" claim. But now?

Wow. That set is oozing the intoxicating mix of mediocrity and faux grievance.

Thanks. Agree. I think you respond and hard, continue to play adult, signal openness to negotiate, but realize appeasement will not work and prepare for serious pain. Only Americans can save America.

You're not wrong. It's obviously not about the stated reasons. Question is, what do you suggest we do?

Yeah. Gotta dig in. This is going to hurt. I am fortunate. My retirement is about to be deferred...maybe indefinitely. But, like I said, fortunate. I will absolutely pay more taxes to support those who lose jobs because of this. No one left behind.

Arg. Transfer taxpayer wealth to crypto holders. Question, does Congress have to authorize this?

Have any of these America first types explained how aligning with Russia advances America's interests? Isolationism I can understand. Wrong but is a point of view. Helping Russia for no apparent gain?

Wow. George Washington would like a word...

Can someone ask these America first types what US national interest is being served? Wanna be isolationist and disengage? I disagree but get it. But, to intervene on Russia's side, how does that in ANY way benefit America?

We cant. Trump's gonna do whatever he wants for inscrutable reasons. We play the game and act like adults but should have no misconception that will bring results.

Americans always saw themselves as the good guy. It wasn't always true, but it was a good thing. The modern conservative movement has made enough Americans want to be the bad guy that now, all is at risk. Sucks.

"Gained". And will be harder and more costly and longer to regain if that is desired. I don't know how to conclude the regime's objective is anything else but diminishing American power and influence.

This. Even if a full merger is a bridge too far, pick a couple dozen conservative ridings with the lowest PC vote percentage and split them evenly between Liberal and NDP.

Totally. Voted early this time. Easy. Paper ballot. Machine count. Paper audit trail. We do elections well in this country and I tell the Elections Canada/Ontario staff that I appreciate it every time i vote.

Sports Twitter was a great escape. Deleted my account last month. Many of my follows are here but not all. I will not consume media from that man and those people. Marketers that rely on that platform will not reach me. I'm fine. How many of us are enough to start costing real $?

So tired of the drama. Fighting the creeping nihilism every day knowing that it is at least part of the point of this nonsense.
