Drip tray for boots and indoor sandals laid out within stepping distance. That works for Blundstones, but a chair is required to remove skidoo boots after snowblowing.
I practically killed myself doing exactly this a few weeks ago after some snowfall. Lost my balance while kicking off the second boot, went down like a rock and cracked my shin. Glad I didn’t hit my head!
Took ballet for 10 yrs as child/teen & have been de-snow dressing myself & children in 🇨🇦 for long time now. Hope you’ll accept ‘notes’. First-brush off outside. Second-Coat off before boots. Tiptoe gets full pts but better off zipping coat UP? & leave slippers in reach. Keep trying yr nrly there 😉!
Incidentally been trying to train my golden retriever to shake the snow off at the door before going in. I have to pet her in the wrong direction to provoke this but seems to work!
a serious challenge arises if your socks get stuck in the boots and come right off in the process. Although it could prevent wet sock so depending on the temperature it could be seen as a bonus.
Actually learned great trick to prevent this with my kids when they attended outdoor kindy. Bought them wool tights (soft merino) like they wear in Scandi countries (boys!yes!) & they wore shorts over them (& looked damn cute) & easy to get snow pants on & socks could not fall down & no torn knees!
