They’ve finished blaming lockdowns.
Now they are blaming you.
(If you are a caregiver for a child.)

If/when these kids become teenagers they will emulate their parents selfishness & gleefully sacrifice them, when the fascists of their time easily blame their elders for why things suck

There was a preschool (4yo)that wanted to run a program in our community but there weren't enough kids toilet trained (less than half the kids were).
Gross motor skills have also been declining (was a concern 20yrs+)
There's a lot of daycares that will change diapers but will not toilet train. Usually parents have kids in daycare because both parents are working.
Any changes in the family environment can also cause kid's toileting regressions.
I think the writers blaming families should at least acknowledge the many other confounding factors in play.
She also talked of something that my mother (who was also a teacher) talked of 20 years ago - language deprivation. Children who sit in front of the telly and lack vocabulary.
We had 2 early intervention programs- 1 was cut in 2018, the other we lost in 2020. No new programs.
These sound concerning. I’m not going to pretend I know for sure what’s going on, but it warrants a serious investigation. 🤔
My parents targeted them and never let us climb them. The first time I climbed stairs was reception class BUT ->
So if it’s just a lack of exposure to experiences, I’d expect kids to catch up fairly quickly. If they really can’t do it… then I’m worried.
