Yup. I’m way smaller (50k TT followers), but it’s honestly shocked me how immediately perverse the incentives get when views = dollars in your bank account. Not that I’ve, like, considered pivoting to rightwingerdom, but how it happens is much clearer to me now

There’s also the secondary issue of how closed algorithms create cargo cult behavior in these groups, but I don’t think that fully explains how it tends to turn people into reactionaries
