I can only add to it - do all the deals in secret, including Reeves' abandoning the fiscal straightjacket, while Starmer continues to say placatory things to Washington. Then have a big moment hard-pivot "suck it nerds" presser/speech where you announce all the deals you just did.

Agreed but then again it feels like the Right is always using something as an excuse to do things and rarely the Left. Also, what if the ideas are reasonable! Eg global economy collapsing- shall we urgently reduce trade barriers with rest of our continent anyone? Anyone? Ah no, sorry. My bad.
