My county is blue, with a faint red tinge. That helps my sanity, though I will never forgive the mayor who pushed for the gerrymander that gave me a MAGA Congressthing. He barely squeaked in, but squeak he did.

Not here, closest may be a few hundred miles away. 😞 conservative Baptist churches of every flavor have a monopoly. There is a super small Episcopalian church, it’s also on the conservative side (for their denomination) but at least more progressive than the other churches.

I hear you! In a small red town, and I’m not even sure how to find ppl. The red is so strong here anyone who opposes it is very careful to hide where they stand. I’m exhausted already with red family, it’s daunting to start to get to know anyone, if they turn out to be just as red. 😞

The worst "just move" narratives I ever heard were when my state started calling for people to report parents of trans kids and there was so much "if you're not willing to pack up and leave you're a bad parent." Mind you this was after covid wrecked everyone's expenses too. Victim blaming horseshit.
