For those not in Norman Heikilla ran on police funding and no homeless shelters and Holman ran on more progressive policies. Also an arena and turnpike were key issues. It is a flip but left leaning mayors are common in Norman

He was endorsed by the Tulsa-based Black Wall Street Times as far as publications go. He was also endorsed by Teamsters Local 886. He is, however, a progressive leaning Independent. Regardless, it's a win for my city and a repudiation of the incumbent's right-wing politics.

Thank you. That's not to say OK isn't without problems--we still have get rid of Gov. Stitt (2026) and do something about the guy at the State Dept. of Education. But we're working on it.
