I’ve had this a couple of times and regularly checking Spotify for Artists is key as if see it yourself and tell them proactively they seem to be fine with it. There’s also now a specific tool to report this stuff in Spotify for Artists but I haven’t had a reason to use it yet so can’t vouch for it
Well that certainly sounds positive. I guess the issue is when this stuff happens and you've missed it, as I guess the method being suggested above relies on your checking for this stuff pretty regularly.
Yeah, it definitely sucks if you're not on top of it. I'm not on DistroKid, either (I use Symphonic), so it's possible that my distributor is less aggressive about this. It's not clear to me if DK actually does this more than others or if we see it happen with DK more because DK is popular.
Even if you catch it in realtime though there is some way the bots do this that means you can’t track down an offending playlist, they almost come from invisible sources
