Oof, don't get me started on enterprise apps. Possibly the most short-sighted cost management method ever.

There is no incentive to focus on efficiency and productivity by the software creator/licensor, and the business/licensee has no idea how to measure those and demand tools that improve them.

Buyers are ill equipped to evaluate efficiency. All they have is a rigid checklist and they don’t understand 90% of the things in said list.
Also real users are used to the complexity, can’t envision a simpler way and it acts as job security too!
