Border blunder: French pupils denied entry to the UK by British officials due to a trivial post-Brexit form error.
500-mile trip wasted, tourism lost, and goodwill gone. Sad for those kids and so frustrating. Is this really what the UK voted for?

Dear me...
Where did common sense go!
Time for a reset surely? If Labour can do it after five months we must be allowed another chance to choose after more than EIGHT YEARS.
It was quite shocking, and I hasten to add it wasn't by "hoodlums" but "ordinary looking people"
Best book title ever that I always try to keep in mind "From Pain to Violence", i.e you have been/are in pain and it gets projected out, or in, as violence of one sort or another.
I am constantly advising my Portuguese friends, colleagues & neighbours to avoid travelling to the #UK like the plague.
He will have to use all the levers possible to try to turn around the economy before renegotiation. He won't.
The more economic pain people are in, the more realisation Brexit was a stupid idea.
What have we become.
Which is a pathetic little racist state.
Sorry. You have to be from outside to see it.
Every country has its racist element but what you’ve just done by grouping a whole nation and its people into your statement, is just what a racist xenophobe would do.
Disgusting.
For them, it's precisely what the UK voted for. Sigh.
The morons who voted for it destroyed the economy and the future for you children and grandchildren
We need to move forward and rejoin the EU at the earliest opportunity
Europe needs to stand together against the tyranny of Putin and Trump
Who benefited?
A racist jobsworth who had the best day of his life and was in Wetherspoons that night regaling the racists with his Great Story Of Denying The French Entry.
A wanker basically.
We have made it harder to bring school trips here.
there was no need for such paper prior to brexshit.
glad you're championing awful jobs worths 👍
Hell, anyone would have known there's a difference between passports and ID cards and that you don't put both numbers in the one box.
Pre Brexit you could just show up with an ID card and only non EU nationals needed paperwork.
The rules have been changed by Brexit which, as you honestly admit, has made life much harder in order to please the worst sort of people.
Another example of the insanity of Brexit.
How fucking idiotic do you have to be to think that was the right decision.
Shameful.
Would the decision have been the same if they were trying to get into England, or is this kind of treatment reserved for Scotland in response to the majority of Scots wanting to remain in the EU?
"We dont want to go through that again. Let's just go somewhere in the EU"
