A majority of Brexit supporters now want to accept free movement in exchange for a return to the single market. Will this finally rid Labour of its Brexit bogeyman?

And yes, the 2008 financial crisis tipped people over the edge. Brexit would not have happened without the 2008 crisis.
There more rational folk here.
The polls missed the core Brexit vote.
Nobody is going to take that chance again for a decade. You may as well hand the keys to #10 to Farage otherwise.
FoM is a fundamental aspect of the SM & EU, and a benefit in & of itself.
This sort of attitude means that actual compromises & costs will be seen as too high a price.
Although in an ideal world I'd also want Tice, Farage, Johnson, Frost and the editorial staff of the Daily Mail thrown in jail for treason and left to rot, as well.
But yes the tories are given way more freedom, Labour can't move without the media tearing them into shreds.
No brainer!
And likely to be quicker than leaving, considering we were previously in - and there's a bigger majority in this government.
From March this year:
"The president of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, expressed her support for the UK eventually rejoining the EU".
The main issue/difference is the UK wouldn't have the same more beneficial terms it once had.
Please can the people who orchestrated brexit be on your naughty list? And get lumps of coal and a writ for harm to the UK?
Please can I have a warm welcome back into Europe family?
Thankyou xxxx
It’s unfathomable that the EU would want or take us back.
It would be like inviting your racist old uncle back to live with you after had he left for a nursing home.
After all, the assisted dying bill did pass with cross psrty support 😉
"Well no"
"So it's not really a red line"
Highlights the stupidity of ever having Red lines.
