Imo? You and Hyun Sook are more important than ever at teaching the importance of banned books in the US. Even if you can't participate in those states, keep having the talks in those you can.

Part of the reason for our trip is SPECIFICALLY to go to places we can't talk in schools, and where our book can't be in schools, to talk in the venues where we can be to explain why that's wrong. School boards, library boards, etc.

China is a lot more authoritarian than the US, without a doubt, but the US is on its way there since it's what the oligarchy wants. History is likely to repeat, but being informed is what brings about change faster. Be that informer.

We are currently at the airport to go to an in-person book talk in a place where if we use the word "king" with the wrong tone of voice, we risk between between 3 and 15 years in prison.

We are far more concerned with the vague, ever-changing censorship laws on our upcoming trip to America.
