I know 3 people who post for likes- because they told me so. One goes back and likes her own posts hours after posting to "prime the pump". One constantly talks about likes and falsifies her bios to get more likes. The third gets mad if anyone disagrees with a post and ridicules anyone who does.

I think people are just stressing out and honestly more scared than they can deal with. I know this election result threw me right back into fight or flight after clawing my way out from a lifetime of it. But that’s a me issue, not a social media issue. People need to learn to manage themselves.
