Yes, it is. By the way, you may not have to worry so much about the art you drew with the same pen 10 years ago because it hasn't deteriorated that much. Of course, it is in an environment where it is kept out of direct sunlight.

I have issues with ink art as far as drawing it myself with ink pens. It’s just not my preferred medium and I find it difficult but I do love to look at ink art. In fact it’s one of my favorite mediums as far as that goes. Anyway - Very nice work there!

I get this, I have a fancy tablet with one of the best art programs I could hope for- and yet I find myself trying to emulate the look/feel of a cheap ballpoint pen. Sometimes it’s best to use classic/basic materials, it helps me reconnect with my art whenever I return to pen doodles haha

There is no distinctive trick, but it might be to hold the ballpoint pen gently and draw. Brush pressure is very important.
