I was so so surprised at how much I liked it bc I wasn’t a huge fan of the films. (Prefered the SyFy miniseries- which have more time to the Bene Gesserit.) but then I got spoiled about the 😮 and now I’m mad and haven’t finished.

Dune: Prophecy was everything I wanted out of a Dune show that revolved around the Bene Gesserets. I'm really happy it got renewed, and can't wait to see what they do in season 2.

Reactions to it are mixed to positive both in fandom and generally. If you go in cutting it some slack for rough development and don't hold it to the film expectations, you could enjoy.

Felt like a solid half season, not a full season at all. Especially with the slow pacing (which I like) and relatively complicated story. They got a fair amount right, more than I expected

I loved it too! I was very nervous because I’ve listened to a few of the audiobooks by Kevin & co and was not in to them.

I might have to give the bene gesserit one a go because I really enjoyed this show.

I’ve often wondered why frank Herbert’s other series get so little attention.

Destination Void + The Pandora Sequence are really awesome and more than just Dune but what if on water.

I’ve only read whipping Star (of the ConSentiency universe) but it was wild AF too…
