It doesn't clump, which is a minus for freshness. Tracks everywhere as it is very fine. Also, it is very unfriendly to the environment.
It is made of silica, which needs to be mined. However, if you have a cat who is a senior or urinary issues it is beneficial. 🐱

The silica absorbs the urine. Clay litter clumps, so I think it would turn into a hot mess.

That just sounds like nothing but anxiety to me. Any change in color and I’d be questioning what’s wrong with my cat. Lol. I give my vet enough money as it is. lol
