Can I be open, honest, AND 𝓋𝓊𝓁𝓃𝑒𝓇𝒶𝒷𝓁𝑒?
Attack on Titan isn’t a great starter anime. It shouldn’t be the go to recommendation for newbies okay.

that's horrifying. that's not where we start!!
No context EoE is wild…I mean FULL context EoE is wild too but
Thank you- 🙏- all I was trying to say this whole time is different strokes for different folks. And you really said it best.
Maybe Dr. Stone, That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime, and Bocci The Rock are nice intro new shows.
I love JJK! That title it means so much to me…but once you get to Hidden Inventory it starts punching you right in the face and doesn’t stop.
HOWEVER, its weird politics can’t be ignored. It’s a disservice (especially to new viewers) that so many fans shy away from that convo.
I'd recommend them and One Punch Man, both Manga and Season 1 of the anime.
Cowboy Bebop (and its movie) is a great entry point imo. Short, impactful and accessible.
Mine was Inuyahsa or Cowboy Bebop like 25 years ago, if I had started with AoT I’d be shook.
Horror fans would likely dig into anime after you show them shit like AoT and Akame Ga Kill.
Normies need reincarnated slimes and pirates.
Not everyone needs to like the same stuff.
Wouldn’t recommend this or anything with slime or One Piece personally, but I’m speaking for myself ofc
And/or what few friends I do have are the types to really appreciate shows like this and not shy from them.
Thought processing and understanding of another’s point of view, understanding the oppressed, versus the oppressor. At first from the titans - and eventually ppl
Full agree, that’s not where to start.
Counterpoint though, it’s one of the few shonen with no “fan service” and it loves Dune.
Horror/scifi fans consistently love it. It was what got me back into anime.
I don’t hang out with normies, so I wouldn’t recommend them anything because they ain’t my type to begin with.
