Honestly it may be My Hero Academia. It’s not perfect, but it’s paced so exceptionally well and the arcs and setups/payoffs are so unbelievably emotional. I care for like, 20+ difference characters simultaneously and I’ve never had that with any show before.
Honestly? It’s got to be The Simpsons (earlier years). Funny, absurd, touching, wholesome, thought provoking, referential, relevant, creative… the show had it all.
Say what you will about the ending, but living through LOST week to week is still the highlight of TV and “water cooler” conversation for me. I love that show.
Lost made me interested in television shows. It certainly holds a special place. It also prepared me for the last season of many television shows. But in Losts case, a show about a plane crash, you might expect them to miss the landing.
