This time it’s not in my NorCal neighborhood. But my heart is with my fellow Californians in SoCal. The devastation these fires cause is great and so is the air pollution 😢
I hope people remember to use respirator masks to protect their lungs from the soot and ashes that are likely everywhere.

‪Firefighters protecting bazillion dollar homes: Average pay in LA is $62K-$85K/yr depending upon which source you believe. Average pay for CA wildland firefighter is $17.31/hr. I bet they can't afford the homes they're protecting. Insurance companies might push for pay raises/more hires.
