May Day, May Day General Strike-5/1/25!
Shut it all down, unions wobble, airlines, manufacturing, retail, trucking, transportation, shipping! tRump, vAnts, johnson must resign.
MAGA is all for it though. They really want Americans that disagree with them tortured and killed and they laugh with joy at the thought of it and tell jokes about their suffering.
As long as nobody is getting gassed in there, get the fuck out with those comparisons. I didn't see you acknowledge Holocaust memorial day. You can condemn a horrible thing without co-opting the industrialized murder of 6 million Jews most of y'all don't give 2 shits about.
Judges hand RapistTrump several losses in court and then online Trump announces an arrest of a 65 year old judge in good standing. This is dangerously crazy! 😡😡😡🇺🇸🦅✊️Due process and innocent until convicted in a court of law. To post such slanderous arresting of a judge is unusual and it's wrong.
BOTH are incorrect. Cherokee, Navajo and Dakota were interned in "emigration depots". Later, Americans of Japanese descent were interned in a dozen concentration camps! America paid some reparations to Japanese Americans but never to indigenous Americans.
Straight up untrue on essentially every single point. The US had concentration camps many times in the last 200 years, the Nazis begun with ones for disabled ppl even before the war, and the comparison between Salvador and Poland is just heinous when considering the former was INVADED AND OCCUPIED.
Yeah this is why I should not type at 5AM, I ment the latter.
The Polish goverment or ppl had no actual say or control over the process. De-Facto the camps were on Nazi-German territory.
i get what this is saying but this is NOT the first concentration camp the U.S. has made and its dangerous to say so even for a soundbite. 🚫
Never erase the WW2 camps for Japanese U.S. citizens, or the camps made for many years now for latin refugees.
I agree with the sentiment. However the first Nazi concentration camp was in Nohra followed by Dachau. The USA had concentration camps for Americans of Japanese descent during WW2
Alas, they don't seem to have the brightest tour guides, Dachau was a camp for political prisoners from 1933 on, mainly because the whole racial component didn't come dominant until later.
Ask actor George Takei. His family had almost everything they own taken from them, when, as Japanese-Americans, they were uprooted and forced to live in one of ten US Concentration camps in the US West during WW II.
I imagine native Americans would be to differ, but yes the internment of innocent Japanese Americans under the same Alien Enemies Act being used to shuttle Venezuelans off to a concentration camp is most certainly worth remembering.
I think doing a little research before making claims is a very low bar of integrity to clear. When someone makes a claim that is just factuality wrong, they ought to expect to be called out.
The further you look back the more you see more of the same. Theft, displacement, genocide, and empire building. Maybe for a minute we thought we didn't do that anymore in this country. I guess some of them want to get that big dick (or major asshole) energy back. It's a fuckin shame.
It was located on the grounds of an abandoned munitions factory near the northeastern part of the town of Dachau, about 10 miles northwest of Munich in southern Germany.
Andersonville springs to mind but Brotherton Indian Reservation in New Jersey, established 1758 was probably our first concentration camp followed by every other native reservation.
Please don't push naive interpretations of history, especially about Poland, even more so if you're American. The arrogance and ignorance is baffling. The main reason for allocation of most concentration and death camps in occupied PL were logistics. Most of the undesirables/Untermenschen were there
Guantanamo Bay detention camp established by the criminal Bush was the first. Also not in America. Republicans have made a 'media point' that just by them using the label 'terrorist" we can get disappeared to GTMO - NCIS, FBI and many state movies.

Stop collapsing history and get with the critical thinking thing. Yikes. 😬
The #USA isn't new to this shit.

Come back when you've learned
anything can be made acceptable.
Auschwitz in 1940 was wildly different from Auschwitz in 1944. Let's see what CECOT will become in 4 more years.

In the US, we did the same since the Obama Administration, and Tom Hohman was a part of it.
In both, fascists took existing structures of injustice and applied them to political enemies.
Do better
The first American Concentration Camp was when we shoved all the Japanese US Citizens into camps in the 40's.
That's real. Look it up.
