That's the biggest design flaw: my country started with cell broadcasting now and does tests every now and then.
I can't deactivate it but I am terribly sensitive to noise and really fast, so I click the alert away instantly. In a serious case, this does absolutely nothing for me

I did find it burried 4 levels deep in obscure menus. But yeah, not the kind of thing a normal person does.

It really should be

First action stops the noise, leaves the alert

Second action, lets you use your phone but keeps the alert easy to get back to

Third action, actually gets rid of it

My phone tells me I deactivated all the alerts but actually the setting doesn't work. I suspect my country overrode the setting somehow. They are very proud to use this ancient old technology now ^^

Yeah, mine stopped blaring after 5-10 seconds and left the message up. Previously I'd trained myself to screenshot it before hitting the dismiss button so I could read it after 😅
