Five years ago today, we were all put into lockdown, and I made one of the biggest decisions of my life to start cycling. What began as a necessity, commuting to work as a key worker, quickly turned into a passion.

It is amazing how cycling can change your life and wellbeing. I have been using bicycle to get to work for five years now and I wouldn't change that for anything.
I had the same experience. I am so thankful I was able to acclimate to biking when there were fewer drivers on the road. It really helped my confidence. I hope we both have many, many more miles of cycling ahead of us!
Same here: I started cycling to work that summer. I made a serious navigational error on the first morning, and found myself on the University Roundabout, but it was okay because the roads were quiet. Cycling one day a week turned into two, then three, then five, and now it's my main transport.
I don't always do a great job conveying this, but cycling is so joyful. I know a lot of people are working to make biking more accessible. I want everyone to have the option of joyful, car-free transportation.
I sold my beloved Mini Cooper in 2022 after the impact of the pandemic and purchased my first bike ever (as an adult) and haven't driven since. Always great to hear of silver linings caused by Covid!
As days and months passed, I fell more in love with cycling, and it soon became a huge part of my life, improving both my physical and mental well-being.

My Brompton Bicycle has taken me on incredible adventures, from iconic rides like London to Brighton and exploring Wales and the Peak District to international trips in Morocco, Dubai, and New York. Completing the 100-mile Ford Ride London last year was a proud milestone.
.. and those of us who have cycled longer than that welcome you to our folds, with your encouraging stories and infectious smile.
It's been fab to come along with you as youtook this journey.
May all your winds be tailwinds, and all your hills Wheeeeeee downhills.

Cycling made me feel 14/15 again. The same feeling of being able to go where I wanted, when I wanted.
Here's another try
