That's basically how I look at it. I make stuff look pretty at home for 1 plate, take a picture to post later, then the rest are done messier cause people just wanna eat 😂.

Pretty is for pictures and restaurants, people wanting to eat only care about flavor and this was packing.

I bought a bread making machine at Christmas--the recipe book comes with a hands-off recipe for meatloaf. I can't see it working very well, but I might give it a try, for science!

I .. idk how I feel about making a meatloaf in a bread machine lol. I can't imagine it being that much more convenient, and I also imagine it affecting the flavor in your bread with residuals. Either the odor or oils.... That being said... Beefy bread doesn't sound necessarily bad lol.

I prefer my carrots in the loaf, but that looks good! Have you tried a flavored cracker like Cheese Its for your meatloaf crumbs? The gorgonzola crackers from Trader Joes are great.

I have a picky kid, so it works best when you can separate things lol. That's really smart though! I've only ever used panco and saltine crackers. Never thought to use cheese crackers. Definitely on my agenda of things to try now!
