In the last couple years, multiple people came to the zoning and variance committee I chairs to earnestly argue that 3 units were obviously too many for a .15 acre lot. That’s <1 unit per 2,000 square feet. The owner reduced the proposal 2 units. Construction hasn’t started, if it ever will.

The take I am most certain of that gets me in the most trouble is just "The reason homes are so expensive is because there are not enough of them, so we really really really need to build more of them."
