The irs knows how much most of us need to pay in taxes, the regular people. Why not send us or email us their filled out form, if we agree sign it & send it back, if not the tax payer submits an amended form.
I think you can via snail mail as long as you know what you’re doing. You have to pay to have an agency (TurboTax) file them online for you. If you’re under a certain income they say they’ll file them for you for free. But it sounds like their “free” is misleading in their advertising.
Thank you for sharing.
I switched to H&R Block a long time ago.
They were easier to use.
I no longer have taxable income.
I hope it stays that way?
Disability is not taxed at the moment.
I no longer file taxes.
I tried and the software told me no income, no taxes.
I used the software. I don't go to them. I used to use turbotax. I recall that turbotax was the first at home tax preparation software program in the stores where I lived. I think H&R Block has free software for federal taxes now? My father had an accountant do his taxes for many years.

But do all tax specialists benefit not just Turbotax?

DR then his last name, Root.
For years, I thought Dr. Root held a doctorate in taxes. Nope. He is a CPA.
I really wish I could remember it. I forget what it is every year.
