The markets have long been overdue for a correction after unsustainable profits since the post Covid global restart. Would Trump and company deliberately cause a correction to profit from it? Probably so.
Financial markets may be influenced by momentum driven by any age "thinking" but their underlying value are determined by fundamentals such as revenue, debt or liabilities, assets and growth potential based on sometimes finicky consumer demand and influenced by supply chains & various factors.
Sure, but in what way were the post-Covid profits “unsustainable”? Other than for the planet, that’s - though I don’t think the concurrent market drop is because people realized climate change will destroy society.
My guess is that in a couple of months if when the impact is felt and Trump starts feeling the heat, he'll merely change his mind and roll back tariffs. In the meantime, short sellers and investors who positioned themselves, will have an opportunity to gain on the upside.
Not a financial planner (no stomach for it) but best to look away for the moment, unless you have Lutnick on speed dial (hahaha). Even in a normal market (more ha ha), you would have to time it correctly at least twice.
Considering how a lot of "happy housewives" in the 1950's were high as balls, I'm guessing there was significant drug use to help people through WW2 and here we are just raw dogging fascism
It's almost like Kevin Hassett doesn't know what he's doing and is unqualified to be Director of National Economic Council, particularly when he thinks comic books are a good investment.
