I guess I’m saying they could choose to do their job but then they’d have to show some real leadership and risk pissing off their base, maybe even lose re-election. Again, real shortage of leadership here but that’s been the case since 2016 at the least.

I’ve been beating this drum for a bit but I don’t see how anyone can see what happened January 6th, see police unions lineup to endorse Trump, read up on the fears of lawmakers with no mention of the police and not come away thinking this society needs to change it’s relationship to policing.
