6) You will never see the janitors working, but that's okay. Don't pay any attention to movements you see out of the corner of your eye. It's just the custodial crew working to keep the school clean.
7) Never, ever open the door to the janitor's closet.
8) Those who look inside of the Janitor's closet may run the risk of becoming a lost student. You will know you've seen a lost student if you see a very pale child wearing clothes that are out of date or carrying books that the school no longer uses. They usually do not speak. Do not speak to them.
If you think you have seen a lost student, report it to the nearest teacher as soon as possible. Teachers and school staff are trained to deal with lost students. Do not speak to lost students. Do not listen to what they have to say. Never, ever follow a lost student, no matter what they say or do.
10) If you are late for class, you should proceed as quickly as possible to the principal's office to receive a hall pass. You do not want to be in the hallways between classes without a hall pass for any reason, if at all possible. Teachers and staff do not need a pass.
If you cannot reach the principal's office, find a teacher or other staff member as quickly as possible and remain within at least ten feet of them. They will escort you either to your next class or to the principal's office. The hall monitor is trained to recognize teachers and staff.

I was 17 before I found my crowd. Still keep them close; I’m 51.
What a heart. Ugh… perfect.
