I haven't seen 28 years later yet but I am loving the unanimous admiration for the original that is not just a pivotal piece of zombie fiction for the genre but a significant part of film history ushering in the digital age.

unless you're me, watching the decades-old rip from when i had the dvd. thankfully i have a better version of weeks 😆 but it really is a rare movie that can unite horror fandom these days like the original.
