There’s several limitations. Extensions/ plugins for one. It’s in Googles and Apples best interests to make you use their native apps over web.

The companies and people behind said native apps also want guaranteed tracking/ads/money, what is their incentive to provide *any* browser a better service? Any web app worth using nowadays is by a hobbyist or a non-profit.
