Two weeks ago, I decided to move off of Arc. After some soul searching, I landed on a different browser, and it was not the one I expected.

We all doing it for the same reasons at this point.
Privacy, security, the bs that is manifest v3.
- Split tab support is there, but you have to go into a right click menu to get it. Yes there's a shortcut, but let me drag. It's also not *quite there* yet.
- I want a command pallete, not just "search" in a tiny box.
My problem is that it's getting buggy and they don't seem interested in it anymore.
(Nice how the initial letters are A and Z.)
2. Ability to "hide everything" for a simple UI (WITHOUT GOING FULLSCREEN) ✅
3. "cmd+shift+c" to copy current URL (essential for me) ✅ (with built-in clean url copy!!)
5. Chrome based 🚫 WebKit supporting chrome extensions
6. Not shit performance ✅ (at least for me with my workloads)

Really appreciate your help in spreading the good word 💜
Nobody should trust those scumbags.
Brave leadership have shown they're willing to do sketchy things, not too dissimilar from the recent Honey toolbar scandal.
You shouldn't trust such people with your internet browsing, period.
* lack of customisability (like in Arc or Zen)
for example, can you remove a built in shortcut?
don't get me wrong, I think brave is the best browser for non technical people (to keep at least some privacy)
theo criticizing for no good reason without giving it a proper go, heck even prime uses brave
zen > brave &&
brave != bad &&
brave != no_features
I’ll stick with Arc for now despite the “betrayal”. I haven’t had problems so far and I’m not itching for new features.
Have you tried Thorium? may not look like much at a glance, but it really is just Chrome plus common sense. and fully open source if you're willing to contribute.
