That doesn't really apply in this situation... Free speech is a guarantee against government, not private entities.

Don't get me wrong, this is super shitty, but it has nothing to do with free speech. There are consequences to the things we say, though in this case, there certainly shouldn't be.

I do think there is potential legal action in this case. These people paid money to be there, they didn't break any of the agreements in place for code of conduct, the Mavericks also don't technically own the AAC they rent so there is that component.

seems weird to characterize this as a violation of the NBA code of conduct when the passage they state just says "profane or derogatory" language isn't allowed: did you ask the Mavs what about the phrase "Fire Nico" they consider profane or derogatory?
