The evil that Trump wasn't confident enough to enact in his first term is spewing out of him in a torrent. His contained anger and bigotry is literally exploding.
As I keep saying, when you look at what Project 2025 actually involves, there's only one way this ends; lots of violence on the streets & people being killed in large numbers.
Will European - and other world - leaders act or stick to norms and diplomatic protocols where norms evidently no longer apply?
That is not normal behaviour and shouldn’t be treated as such, just because barely half the country voted for it (with huge abstentions).
Feels like it’s time for all the good, but quiet people to actually do something ; we’ve left the platforms in quiet protest of the SM owners, we quietly support those less fortunate, without fuss and fanfare we do a bit to protect our hard worn rights - I’m starting to think we need to be noisier
It was all there in the Nazi salute. America is where Russia was in 2002 with Putin. It had another chance in 2012. It failed and they are now under dictatorship. In America the gun ownership mantra has been to be able to stand up to the state. The reality will be fear and cowardice in dictatorship.
We're about 6 months away from organised groups of Trump loyalist militias hiding behind the 2nd amendment as they roam the streets looking for "undesirables" to harass.
Sadly, although as with Apartheid and even back in the slave trade days, a lot of the abuse and harassment will be behind closed doors despite being at scale. But what these guys are unleashing, based on narratives that are pure fantasy, is utter poison that will have implications for generations.
In health. policies to support equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) are very important because of long-standing health inequalities affecting specific population groups that need to be addressed; and also to ensure that the participants in clinical research are representative of the population.
This undermines efforts to create inclusive, equitable work environments. These initiatives help address systemic biases and promote representation for marginalized groups. Dismantling them risks regressing to less diverse, less fair systems in government and beyond.
Add in that Trump has taken price caps off medicines, resulting in increases of 000's of % already, this will mean death for thousands of sick and disabled people - unable to find work, unable to afford medication or insurance. It's absolutely wicked.

Brown Shirts for the 21st century.
Still laughing at how they got to that point of spin.
