Thanks @flinty01.bsky.social and great to see you mention (again) recent study showing virus persists in body incl brain for years. Armstrong would help more if he focused on C19’s airborne nature, though, instead of pushing the handwashing/sanitisation dogma.

I went to the veterinary hospital Saturday and 4 people called out sick. The staff said “can you believe it” as I sat there fully vaccinated in my N95. I said yes, I can believe it, nobody pays attention to preventing it. Awkward.

Once again, the updated COVID vaccine becomes available in Australia just two weeks before Christmas - after Christmas events & spread have already started. Last year I was infected with the new strain 1 month before the updated vaccine became available. After 13 months, I'm still suffering effects

Pro tip: wear an N95 mask when you go to get your jab. Many people in the line will already be infected.

They do that here in the US, too. And the technician is never masked. 😡

Is Novavax available in Oz?

We had one pharmacy offering Novavax here, but they weren't accepting insurance despite the fact that it was FDA approved and all vaccines are covered by US Medicare. Maybe next time.

Our TGA - equiv of FDA - overseas this approval, I've 3 x Novavax, last one Oct 23. The last variant jab Novavax submitted was never released because of the run around from the TGA.

It's still up in air if we will get the latest Novavax, I'm not waiting forever so it might be Pfizer!
